[Financial News]  A man lured to a motel by a conditional meeting was imprisoned and robbed, and after a 10km escape drama, the culprits were caught. One of the main offenders was once again a juvenile delinquent.
Gyeonggi Icheon Police Station announced on the 8th that they are investigating three teenagers, including a minor referred to as A, on charges of special robbery and confinement.
The group, including A, posted on a conditional meeting site to lure an adult male, referred to as B, to a motel in Icheon on the early morning of the 7th. They are accused of confining B in a room and stealing approximately 600,000 won in cash.
Middle school student C, who participated in the crime, was a juvenile delinquent under 14 years old who only receives protective measures. According to the police investigation, they were worried about being caught by the motel owner, so they put B in his vehicle and drove around the city without a license.
B escaped and reported to the police when the vehicle stopped around 10 a.m. When the police responded and pursued the vehicle, A and his group fled about 10km before crashing into a central divider and being caught.
At the time, they were searching for a bank to take out a loan in B's name, according to the police.
The police plan to apply for arrest warrants for the two, excluding C, who is a juvenile delinquent.
