[Financial News] “The main event of ‘Korea Blockchain Week 2025 (KBW2025)’ to be held in Seoul next month, ‘Impact (KBW2025:IMPACT)’, is the strongest connection point where technology, culture, and global capital meet.” - Jeon Seon-ik, CEO of FactBlock (KBW Founder)
Asia's largest blockchain event, KBW, will be held in Seoul this September under the theme of ‘Meeting of Washington and Seoul, Fusion of Virtual Assets and AI’. Donald Trump Junior, the eldest son of Donald Trump, President of the United States, and Vice President of the Trump Group, along with key figures leading global virtual asset policies and industries, will participate in KBW2025:IMPACT.
■Donald Trump Junior Presents 'Bitcoin Vision'
FactBlock, a Web3.0 ecosystem builder, announced on the 7th that key virtual asset policymakers from Washington D.C., USA, will participate in KBW2025:IMPACT, which will be held at the Walkerhill Hotel & Resort in Seoul on September 23-24.
Previously, the White House announced the ‘Digital Asset Working Group Comprehensive Report’ on the 31st of last month (local time), containing strategies to lead the global virtual asset market. The report, prepared under President Trump's executive order, includes strategies for activating stablecoins, as well as taxation and regulation of virtual assets.
With policy discussions on won stablecoins and virtual asset spot ETFs heating up domestically, attention is focused on the announcements of Washington figures, including Trump Junior. Trump Junior is particularly interested in blockchain technology and financial sovereignty. Having co-founded the Bitcoin mining company American Bitcoin with Eric Trump, he is expected to present a vision for the future value of Bitcoin through his KBW speech.
Bo Hines, Secretary of the White House Digital Asset Advisory Committee, will also participate as a speaker at KBW. The Digital Asset Advisory Committee is an organization overseeing the virtual asset policy roadmap of the Trump administration. Bo Hines is proposing aggressive policy ideas, such as the US government using tariff revenue to purchase Bitcoin for the treasury. In addition, Caroline D. Pham, Acting Chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which oversees US virtual asset product policies, has confirmed her attendance. The ‘Clarity Act’, currently being discussed in the US Congress, states that virtual assets without securities characteristics are supervised by the CFTC, and those meeting the investment contract requirements under securities law are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), drawing attention to Acting Chair Pham's announcement.
■'Bitcoin is a Cultural Movement' Connecting Web3 Technology and Capital
The 3rd speaker lineup for KBW2025:IMPACT, newly released by FactBlock on this day, is also splendid. Bilal Bin Saqib, Special Advisor for Virtual Assets and Chairman of the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), is a key figure. Hollywood actor and comedian T.J. Miller is also on the list. Known for movies like ‘Deadpool’ and the popular sitcom ‘Silicon Valley’, he recently claimed in various podcasts that “Bitcoin is a cultural movement.”
Tristan Thompson, a blockchain investor who won the NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers, will also be a speaker. Recently, he has been exploring the convergence of AI and blockchain at TraceAI.
Prominent project founders will also participate as speakers. Jeff Yan, co-founder and CEO of HyperLiquid, which accounts for 10% of global perpetual futures trading volume, Matt Wright, co-founder and CEO of the decentralized AI infrastructure project Gaia, Frank McCourt, founder of Project Liberty, Justin Sun, founder of Tron, and Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, are representative.
KBW2025, which started in 2018 and is now in its 8th year, is founded and hosted by Web3 ecosystem builder FactBlock and will be held throughout Seoul from September 22-28. Official conference partners for KBW2025:IMPACT include Sui, Stable, and 0G. Among them, Stable, supported by Tether, the world's largest dollar stablecoin (USDT) issuer, will have its CEO Joshua Harding as a speaker to announce the impact and opportunities of stablecoin-based blockchain infrastructure on the future financial market.
Meanwhile, Bithumb will participate as a co-host for KBW2025:IMPACT. Bithumb is a large virtual asset exchange with a daily trading volume (24 hours) of $850 million (approximately 1.17 trillion KRW). A Bithumb representative emphasized, “We are very honored to participate as a co-host of KBW2025:IMPACT, Asia's representative blockchain event,” and “We will contribute to the creation of a healthy virtual asset ecosystem and Korea's leap as a global Web3 market hub through this event.”
