[Financial News] Regarding the suspected nominee stock transactions of independent assemblyman Lee Chun-seok, the police have formed a dedicated investigation team and launched a full-scale investigation.
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Financial Crime Investigation Unit announced on the 7th that they had assigned the complaint case against Assemblyman Lee Chun-seok on the 6th and organized a dedicated investigation team of 25 people, including a team leader. The investigation team includes experts in legal and fund tracking fields such as lawyers and accountants.
Previously, on the 4th, Assemblyman Lee was spotted checking stock transaction details under the name of his aides in the National Assembly's main hall, raising suspicions of nominee transactions. Subsequently, related complaints were filed with the Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station, among others.
So far, no specific charges or investigation plans against Assemblyman Lee have been confirmed.
A police official stated, "We plan to conduct the investigation strictly according to the law and principles."
