'FutureScape' is a program that supports scale-up by discovering startups with excellent innovative technologies and ideas, providing market verification opportunities, and business alliances. This year, it operates in two tracks: the 'demonstration track', which conducts business demonstrations based on collaboration with Samsung C&T, and the 'future track', which jointly develops collaboration models targeting early-stage startups with high potential. A total of over 280 companies applied for the public offering in April, and 6 companies were selected for the demonstration track and 6 for the future track.
First, the selection for the demonstration track was completed in June. The 6 selected companies are currently conducting demonstration projects after the kickoff day held last month. They plan to hold a demo day in October to share demonstration results and promote their companies.
The selection for the future track was completed on the 5th. The final 6 companies, which received excellent evaluations in innovation, growth potential, future cooperation synergy, and team capabilities, were selected as companies to explore new business opportunities with Samsung C&T. Samsung C&T plans to continue practical consultations to materialize and enhance the collaboration models proposed by these companies so that they can lead to actual business.
The selected startups will be provided with opportunities for business cooperation such as service and business model verification, joint technology development, and support for value-up through expert consulting and acceleration in collaboration with Samsung C&T.
Hyung Siwon, head of the DxP Business Strategy Team (Executive Director) at Samsung C&T, stated, "We will actively seek new business opportunities and create synergies with the selected startups."
Meanwhile, Samsung C&T is operating the FutureScape program by expanding the recruitment fields beyond the construction industry to 'Beyond Construction'. Following the selection of 6 startups last year, this year, the selection scale has been expanded to a total of 12 companies, leading active open innovation activities. Through this, it is striving to secure future growth engines and activate a co-growth ecosystem.
