Acquaintance Stabbed to Death in Mapo Apartment Complex... Police Arrest Man in His 30s as Flagrant Offender

[Financial News] A man in his 30s who wielded a weapon at an acquaintance in an apartment complex in Mapo-gu, Seoul, has been arrested by the police.
Seoul Mapo Police Station announced on the 7th that they are investigating Mr. A (in his 30s) on charges of murder.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of stabbing and killing Mr. B (in his 30s) with a weapon in an apartment complex near Daehung Station, Mapo-gu, around 10:50 PM the previous day. It is understood that the two had been drinking at a nearby restaurant just before the incident.
During the crime, Mr. A had an argument with Mr. B and wielded a weapon, and Mr. B, who was seriously injured, ran 200 meters to escape but was further attacked by Mr. A who followed him. Mr. B was transported to the hospital but ultimately died.
The police arrested Mr. A as a flagrant offender near the scene about 10 minutes after the incident occurred. At the time of arrest, Mr. A also sustained injuries during the crime and is receiving treatment at a hospital, with surgery scheduled.
A police official stated, "The two are presumed to be acquaintances," and added, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant after thoroughly investigating the specific motive and circumstances of the crime."
