[Financial News] CJ CheilJedang is tightening its grip on the global market by operating the largest Bibigo booth ever in the US.
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 6th that it operated the largest Bibigo booth ever at 'KCON LA 2025' held at the Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center in Los Angeles (LA), USA, from the 1st to the 3rd.
The Bibigo booth, located in the center of the LA Convention Center, was themed around the Bibigo ambassador 'Seventeen'. The booth design, which combined Seventeen's team color with the Bibigo logo, caught the eye.
The Bibigo booth was packed with visitors eager to enjoy K-food during the event, the company explained. CJ CheilJedang provided K-food for about 30,000 people, including mini dumplings and bibimbap.
A Bibigo booth representative said, "The dumplings and bibimbap we prepared ran out quickly, and seeing people enjoying them while lining up for the photo zone and TikTok challenge made me proud that K-food has become a part of everyday culture beyond just food."
The limited edition 'Seventeen·Bibigo' products displayed on one wall of the Bibigo booth were popular.
CJ CheilJedang is playing a role as a catalyst in elevating the status of K-food to mainstream global food. Bibigo dumplings surpassed 1 trillion won in annual sales in the global market for the first time as a single item in 2020 and have been growing by double digits every year since. Last year, Bibigo's market share in the US B2C (business-to-consumer) grocery dumpling market rose to 41%, maintaining its number one position.
In May, CJ CheilJedang selected Seventeen as its first brand ambassador and has been engaging in various activities such as pop-up stores and global campaigns. In Korea, Bibigo dumplings featuring images of Seventeen members on the packaging have also been launched.
CJ CheilJedang plans to sequentially introduce Bibigo seaweed, fried noodles, and K-street food collaborated with Seventeen in the US, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan until November.
