KOSPI, Slight Decline Due to Foreign and Institutional 'Selling Stance' [fn Morning Market]

[Financial News] The KOSPI index is showing a slight decline on the morning of the 6th due to simultaneous selling by foreign and institutional investors.
This morning at 10:35 AM, KOSPI is trading at 3187.26, down 0.34% from the previous trading day. Today, KOSPI started the session at 3182.06, down 0.50% from the previous session.
In the stock market, foreigners and institutions are net selling 274.6 billion won and 44.8 billion won worth of stocks, respectively. On the other hand, individuals are buying 327 billion won worth of stocks.
Han Ji-young, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, said, "Today's domestic stock market is expected to be influenced by U.S. burdens such as poor ISM indicators, Trump's remarks on tariffs on individual semiconductor and pharmaceutical items, and the sharp stock price drop due to margin deterioration despite AMD's strong quarterly performance," adding, "For the time being, market participants are expected to be exposed to uncertainties related to tariffs and tax increases."
Most of the top market cap stocks are on a downward trend. In particular, Hanwha Aerospace fell 3.43% compared to the previous session, with a large decline, and Samsung Electronics (-1.57%), SK Hynix (-1.71%), and Samsung Biologics (-1.43%) are also down by 1%. On the other hand, KB Financial (1.33%) and Doosan Enerbility (1.08%) are rising.
By sector, transportation equipment and parts (-1.16%), electronics (-1.13%), pharmaceuticals (-0.79%), and IT services (-0.73%) are weak. On the other hand, electricity and gas (6.96%), construction (3.43%), and chemicals (1.81%) are rising.
At this time, the KOSDAQ index is trading at 801.09, up 0.31% from the previous session. The KOSDAQ, which started with a decline, succeeded in turning upward during the session.
In the KOSDAQ market, institutions are buying 22.7 billion won worth of stocks. On the other hand, individuals and foreigners are net selling 9.1 billion won and 5.2 billion won worth of stocks, respectively.
