Law Firm Sejong, Recruits 'Labor Specialist' Yang Ju-yeol Lawyer... Responding to Labor Policy Changes [Law Firm News]

[Financial News] Law Firm Sejong announced on the 5th that it has recruited Yang Ju-yeol, a lawyer with expertise in the labor field (Bar Exam 1st round).
Sejong plans to further enhance its labor group response capabilities by recently recruiting Cho Chan-young, a former judge of the Seoul High Court (Judicial Research and Training Institute 29th class), in anticipation of changes in the new government's labor policies, such as the Yellow Envelope Act (Labor Union Law Articles 2 and 3 Amendment).
Lawyer Yang worked as an in-house lawyer at Hyundai Motor's legal department and has handled numerous HR and labor cases for major domestic corporations and public enterprises at Law Firm HwaWoo's labor group from 2019 until recently. He has gained extensive practical experience in various issues such as illegal dispatch, ordinary wages, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, HR systems and personnel management, and labor compliance (compliance monitoring system).
Sejong plans to proactively respond to major legislative and policy changes through the recruitment of Lawyer Yang in anticipation of a major shift in labor law and policy, including the Yellow Envelope Act.
In academia, Lawyer Yang is also active. He graduated from the Department of Law at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, obtained a master's and doctoral degree from the same university's law school, and is currently serving as an adjunct professor at the same graduate school. He is also active as a public interest commissioner in charge of adjudication at the Seoul Regional Labor Relations Commission and participates as a member of the Labor Law Theory and Practice Society.
In 2023 and 2024, he was consecutively selected as a 'Rising Star' and 'Best Lawyer' in the labor field in the lawyer evaluation jointly conducted by JoongAng Ilbo and the Korea In-house Counsel Association.
