[Financial News] TYM achieved consolidated sales of 262.6 billion won and operating profit of 24.2 billion won in the second quarter, continuing double-digit growth compared to the same period last year. Despite the global demand slowdown, the efficiency of the North American market supply chain and local customization strategy drove performance improvement.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 5th, TYM's second-quarter sales increased by 22.0% compared to the same period last year (215.1 billion won). Compared to the previous quarter (225.7 billion won), it also increased by 16.3%. During the same period, operating profit increased by 101.8% year-on-year to 24.2 billion won. Net profit for the period was 12.6 billion won, an increase of 33.3% from the previous year.
On a cumulative basis for the first half of this year, TYM continued its growth trend with sales of 488.3 billion won (up 11.4% year-on-year) and operating profit of 39.4 billion won (up 73.1%). A TYM official explained, "The efficiency of the supply chain based on the Northeast Campus in the North American market, the expansion of the dealer network, and the local customized product strategy have led to substantial results."
However, the burden of the 15% US reciprocal tariffs, which will take effect on the 7th (Eastern US time), is considered a variable. TYM plans to maintain price competitiveness through high-margin portfolio operations and local response based on Cedar Town.
