Nokia announced on the 5th that EmpirionDigital, a digital infrastructure company, will introduce Nokia's data center gateway and aggregation switch solutions to the newly opened Gangnam Data Center in Gangnam, Seoul.
EmpirionDigital develops and operates data centers to support the connection and expansion of digital ecosystems for hyperscale and enterprise colocation corporate clients in major cities in Asia. This enables EmpirionDigital to significantly enhance the reliability and scalability of its data center interconnection network, as well as overall operational efficiency.
Choi Yongseok, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO, Product and Infrastructure) of EmpirionDigital, said, "We are very pleased to provide world-class network performance to hyperscale and enterprise customers in Korea through Nokia's data center solutions," adding, "Nokia's proven track record, strong IP network solutions, and robust supply chain and service capabilities in the Asia region were the optimal choice for advancing our network."
Kent Wong, Vice President of Asia Pacific IP Networks at Nokia, said, "Nokia's advanced data center fabric solutions support EmpirionDigital in effectively responding to increasing data traffic demands and maintaining high network performance," adding, "Nokia's proven technology contributes to enhancing scalability and reliability while also improving energy efficiency for digital infrastructure companies in the Asia-Pacific region."
