Korea Lenovo announced on the 5th that it has officially launched the next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) PC 'IdeaPad Slim 3x' in the domestic market.
The IdeaPad Slim 3x is an AI PC equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor and copilot function. It performs various AI functions quickly and smartly based on a neural processing unit (NPU) with up to 45TOPS, such as multitasking, video conferencing, and real-time content optimization. It is introduced at a reasonable starting price of 800,000 won, considering users looking for an AI PC with practicality that can execute various tasks in daily life, such as students and office workers. The default operating system is Windows 11 Home.
The basic display is a 15.3-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution IPS panel with NTSC 45% color reproduction rate and 300 nits brightness, and it comes with an anti-glare function to reduce glare. An OLED panel option is also available, supporting up to 2.5K resolution. It has obtained TUV Rheinland low blue light certification to minimize eye fatigue even during extended use.
The IdeaPad Slim 3x is optimized for everyday tasks with portability and durability to popularize AI PCs. The battery with a maximum capacity of 60Wh can be used for up to 22 hours on a single charge (based on local FHD video playback). It features fast charging, allowing up to 2 hours of use with just a 15-minute charge. Additionally, its slim design and lightweight of about 1.5kg reduce the burden of mobility. The product's exterior, with a premium metal chassis, provides a stable usage environment anywhere, passing the U.S. Department of Defense's military standard (MIL-STD-810H).
Security features have also been enhanced so that users can use it with peace of mind. A privacy shutter is installed at the top to completely cover the lens when the webcam is not in use, protecting privacy. The fingerprint recognition feature enables fast and secure login, and the enhanced security system thoroughly protects personal data and the PC.
On the left and right sides of the laptop, USB Type-C ports, USB Type-A ports, HDMI 1.4, combo audio jack, and SD card reader are arranged to enhance connectivity. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support stable wireless connections, supporting various tasks such as video conferencing, streaming, and file transfer without interruption. Additional SSD installation is easy without professional help, allowing for ample storage space.
Additionally, Lenovo supports a one-year 'Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) service' that covers free repairs even for damage caused by customer negligence, and an 'Onsite Service' where an engineer visits directly for repairs in case of problems.
From the 5th, Lenovo is conducting pre-orders at the Naver Brand Store and preparing generous benefits to commemorate the launch of the new product. Customers purchasing this product, exclusively launched at the Naver Brand Store, will receive a mouse and Microsoft M365 Office program on a first-come, first-served basis. A buyer review event is also being held. The first prize winner will receive a Lenovo tablet, and the second and third prize winners will receive a Lenovo monitor and gift certificates, respectively.
Shin Kyu-sik, CEO of Korea Lenovo, said, "The IdeaPad Slim 3x is a copilot+ PC optimized for the AI era, designed to allow more users to enjoy a smarter and more efficient computing environment in various fields such as learning, work, and creation," adding, "Through the launch of this new product, which lowers the entry barrier for AI PC utilization in daily life, we hope you will directly experience the new value of AI PCs that enhance not only simple task speed but also user creativity and immersion."
