Charged with obstruction of special official duties causing injury
[Financial News] A woman in her 30s was caught by the police for wielding a weapon at an officer, demanding her case be handled first.
Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station announced on the 5th that they arrested a woman in her 30s, referred to as Ms. A, on charges of obstruction of special official duties causing injury.
Ms. A is accused of visiting Yeongdeungpo Police Station around 7:45 PM the previous day to report a theft case and wielding a weapon at officers explaining the case reception procedure.
Ms. A reportedly demanded, "Go secure the CCTV for my case immediately," and rambled incoherently. When the police explained the case handling process, she took out a folding weapon she had prepared in advance and stabbed an officer in the abdomen.
Ms. A was immediately arrested at the scene, but during the subduing process, other officers were also injured in areas such as their hands.
The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Ms. A while investigating the detailed circumstances of the case.
