[Financial News] On the 5th, most regions nationwide will experience brief showers, but the highest daytime temperature will rise to 36 degrees, resulting in heatwaves and tropical nights.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, while the entire country will be mostly cloudy, the morning lowest temperatures will be 23∼27 degrees, and the highest daytime temperatures will be 30∼36 degrees, similar to or slightly higher than usual.
After the rain and showers subside or stop, the temperature will rise during the day, reaching a perceived maximum temperature of around 33 degrees, continuing the heat. In some areas of northern Gyeonggi and the Jeonnam coast, as well as the Gyeongsang region, the perceived temperature will approach 35 degrees.
The heat accumulated during the day will remain at night, resulting in many places experiencing tropical nights.
However, in the southern coast of Jeonnam, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island, rain will occasionally fall until dawn, and in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, rain will fall until daytime.
Inland areas and mountainous regions of Gangwon, inland areas of the Chungcheong region, and southern regions will experience showers from morning to night.
The expected cumulative rainfall over the two days of the 4th and 5th is 10∼60㎜ in the Gyeongsang region and the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, 5∼40㎜ in the southern coast of Jeonnam, 5∼30㎜ in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and 5∼20㎜ in Jeju Island excluding mountainous areas. In Daegu and Gyeongbuk, more than 80㎜ of rain is forecast.
The expected rainfall due to showers is 5∼40㎜ in the Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions, and 5∼30㎜ in the inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon and the inland areas of the Chungcheong region.
The fine dust concentration will be at a 'good' level nationwide due to smooth atmospheric diffusion and the influence of precipitation.
The sea waves will be 0.5∼3.0m in the East and South Seas, and 0.5∼1.5m in the West Sea.
The wave height in the open sea (about 200km offshore) is expected to be 0.5∼3.5m in the East Sea, 0.5∼2.0m in the West Sea, and 1.0∼3.5m in the South Sea.
The Korea Meteorological Administration advised caution as strong swells will be introduced along the southern coast and Jeju Island coast, causing high waves to cross over rocks, breakwaters, and coastal roads.
