[Financial News] Hwawoo Law Firm announced on the 5th that it has recruited lawyers Jin-guk Lee and So-yeon Yoon, who have been active in the domestic and international M&A and capital market sectors.

In the IPO sector, he has also advised on large transactions such as SK IE Technology, Lotte Shopping REITs, and Hyundai Autoever. Notably, he was responsible for advising MBK Partners on the acquisition of Homeplus, which is recorded as the largest private equity M&A in Asia to date, with a transaction size of 7.2 trillion won. He has been continuously selected as a 'leading lawyer' by international legal evaluation agencies.
Lawyer So-yeon Yoon (Bar Exam 1st class) is a next-generation expert who has shown strengths in M&A and corporate governance advisory, having worked at Yulchon and as a legal director at Naver. She graduated second in her class from Seoul National University Law School and completed her LL.M. at Harvard Law School, also holding a New York State Bar qualification.
Lawyer Yoon has been recognized for her expertise in practice and commercial law. She played a key role in major transactions such as the comprehensive stock exchange between Hanwha Galleria and Timeworld, and the establishment of a media content holding company by KT Group. She also oversaw strategic transactions such as Naver's largest M&A, the acquisition of Poshmark. Recently, she obtained a doctorate in commercial law related to stock-linked compensation from Seoul National University Law School.
Hwawoo plans to enhance its corporate advisory competitiveness by aligning with the complex corporate environment and M&A landscape following the new government's commercial law amendments through this recruitment.
Myeong-su Lee, representative lawyer of Hwawoo, stated, "To meet the complex transaction structures and diverse industry customer needs, experts with differentiated experience and customer-centric strategic thinking are essential," adding, "We will strengthen talent recruitment until Hwawoo's corporate advisory field is established as a top tier domestically."
