Visitors to Sejong City via 'Sejong City App' can easily get discounts at cultural and tourist facilities in Sejong City with a mobile visitor pass
Sejong City has newly introduced the mobile visitor pass service by linking it with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's public MyData so that visitors from other regions can use the mobile citizen card, which was previously only available to Sejong citizens.
Visitors from other regions can easily receive discounts without having to carry separate qualification documents such as a physical ID card or a resident registration abstract by recognizing the Sejong City App mobile visitor pass at QR codes installed at ticket offices, etc. In addition, the mobile visitor pass can be automatically activated simply by shaking the smartphone on the Sejong City App, making it quick and easy to use.
Facilities where the mobile visitor pass discount applies include Sejong National Arboretum, Bear Tree Park, Hapgang and Jeonwolsan Campgrounds, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and Sejong Cultural and Arts Center, which are representative cultural and tourist attractions in the region.
Sejong City has expanded the qualification verification information for mobile citizen and visitor passes to broaden the existing discount targets from △multi-child families △people with disabilities △military service families △single-parent families △low-income families to include △independence patriots △war veterans △veterans compensation recipients.
Details on the discount targets and facilities for mobile citizen and visitor passes can be found on the Sejong City App.
Cheon Heung-bin, Director of Transportation at Sejong City, said, “With the introduction of mobile citizen and visitor passes, we have introduced innovative administrative services into the daily lives of citizens,” and added, “We will ensure that the Sejong City App can establish itself as a core platform by providing integrated qualification information.”
