According to the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 4th, a friend found Song dead in a car in a residential complex in Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, around 8 a.m. and reported it.
There were no signs of foul play and no suicide note was found.
The police plan to investigate the circumstances of Song's death with the bereaved family.
Earlier, Song was caught driving under the influence for about 5 km from Giheung-gu to Cheoin-gu in Yongin-si around 11 p.m. on June 19 and was sent to the prosecution.
As this fact became known belatedly, Song dropped out of the works he was appearing in, causing controversy.

In 2019, he appeared as Choi Ban-jang in the movie 'Extreme Job', making his face known to the public. He later delivered impressive performances in the online video service (OTT) dramas 'Suriname' (2022) and 'Casino' (2022).
Currently, he plays a pastor in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Eye Shopping' and a rugby coach in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Try'. He left the play 'Shakespeare in Love' after the performance on the 25th of last month.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters. The funeral hall is set up in Special Room 1 at Davos Hospital Funeral Hall in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The burial site is Hambaeksan Memorial Park, and the funeral is on the morning of the 6th.
