Providing initial export opportunities through overseas demonstration of innovative products and supporting entry into overseas markets
This overseas demonstration was conducted for the second time following the first on February 21, with a scale of 5.9 billion KRW, selecting 28 products and 35 institutions in 18 countries to pilot these products.
The overseas demonstration of innovative products is a project where the Public Procurement Service provides domestic innovative technology products to overseas public institutions on a trial basis to verify their performance and quality in actual usage environments.
Domestic innovative product companies can gain additional export opportunities through overseas track records or proceed with product improvements to enable local application.
The selected products include AI-based smart video laryngoscopes for medical institutions in Vietnam, AI-applied medical image analysis devices, AI-utilized educational robots for educational institutions in Brazil, autonomous logistics robots for Montgomery County in the United States, and real-time power turbine diagnostic devices applying predictive diagnostic algorithms for use at the Cirebon power plant in Indonesia, all of which are promising for entry into overseas markets.
Baek Seung-bo, Deputy Director of the Public Procurement Service, said, “The overseas demonstration of innovative products is a definite support project that can increase the credibility of companies and lead to additional exports by recognizing the technology and quality of products,” adding, “We will support innovative companies recognized for their technological competitiveness in the domestic procurement market to grow into global companies.”
