Convenient mobility with palm-sized dimensions and a lightweight of 1.9kg
[Financial News] LG Electronics announced on the 4th that it will launch the 'LG CineBeam Shorts (model: PU615U)' which combines powerful performance and convenient mobility with minimal design, projecting a 100-inch 4K screen from a distance of 40cm from the wall.
LG CineBeam Shorts is equipped with innovative 'ultra-short throw' technology that significantly enhances space utilization by projecting a large screen even from a close distance. Only 8.1cm is needed to project a 40-inch screen, and 39.3cm is enough to project a 100-inch large screen.
The new product inherits the design identity of the 'LG CineBeam Cube' introduced last year, with a palm-sized dimension (width and height 11cm∙16cm) and a thickness of less than a span (16cm). It is also very lightweight at 1.9kg, making it easy to move. Thanks to the ultra-short throw technology and small size, it naturally blends into any part of the house without obstructing the view or ruining the interior, providing a 'personal screen'.
The picture quality is also excellent. The 4K (3840 X 2160) high-resolution screen expressed through the RGB laser beam provides an immersive viewing experience. It supports Dolby Atmos, delivering rich stereo sound.
CineBeam Shorts offers a color adjustment function to match wall colors and a screen range setting function to change the size or position of the screen, providing an undistorted screen tailored to different wall colors or areas for each customer. The automatic screen and focus adjustment function also creates a clear and straight rectangular screen automatically.
Equipped with LG Electronics' proprietary smart TV platform webOS, it allows users to conveniently enjoy various content such as LG Electronics' ad-based free streaming (FAST) service LG Channels, online video services (OTT), and games through the internet without connecting separate devices to the projector.
LG Electronics will start selling the LG CineBeam Shorts through online and offline channels, starting with Naver on the 5th and an online brand shop live broadcast on the 13th. The domestic shipping price of the new product is 1.79 million won.
Yoon-Seok Lee, head of LG Electronics' Information Technology (IT) division, said, "We will lead the 'lifestyle projector' trend, which is naturally integrated into daily life and used in various ways, by promoting the LG CineBeam Shorts, which captures both powerful performance and sophisticated minimal design."
