SK Telecom announced on the 4th that it is introducing the latest AI technique, 'Agentic Workflow', in its AI service 'A.Dot' with the new A.Dot 4.0 version.
'Agentic Workflow' is a technique where the AI agent sets goals and plans and executes necessary tasks sequentially based on the conversations it has with users.
With this update, A.Dot can now understand the hidden intentions in user requests and provide the desired customized results.
A.Dot 4.0 autonomously performs the four key elements of 'Agentic Workflow' technology: △planning △utilizing available external tools △multi-agent collaboration △result checking and problem improvement.
SKT also introduced the 'Agent Orchestrator', which analyzes user requests and connects the most suitable sub-agents. SKT expects that the application of the 'Agent Orchestrator' will greatly help improve user convenience, as A.Dot can automatically designate appropriate sub-agents to actively handle complex demands. In the A.Dot 3.0 version, users had to directly select and request agents according to their desired functions.
Music and securities agents, which were previously provided separately, have also been incorporated as sub-agents, allowing users to access various services such as music recommendations and stock information in a single chat window. For example, if a user requests, "Recommend songs that suit today's weather and play them all," A.Dot will check the weather information and perform music recommendations, then deliver a playlist containing the recommended music to the user. Recommended music can be previewed for one minute without a separate screen transition within the A.Dot app, and users with a FLO subscription can listen to the entire song after account linking. SKT stated that with A.Dot transitioning to a structure based on 'Agentic Workflow' where various agents collaborate, the scalability of A.Dot is expected to be greatly enhanced.
Meanwhile, SKT announced that the number of A.Dot subscribers has surpassed 10 million, 22 months after its official launch. The monthly active users (MAU) reported by SKT is about 8.1 million, which is significantly different from the mobile index MAU (about 1.3 million to 1.6 million). Kim Yonghun, head of SKT's A.Dot business unit, said, "The 4.0 version is an important turning point where A.Dot evolves into an agent that 'remembers and assists daily life'," and "We will continue to enhance A.Dot so that it deeply understands users' hidden needs and provides a personalized experience that naturally blends into customers' daily lives."
