Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor, Kwon Oh-soo Former Chairman of Deutsche Motors Summoned... 'Stock Manipulation' Targeted

[Financial News] Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor Team (Min Jung-gi Special Prosecutor) is investigating Kwon Oh-soo, former chairman of Deutsche Motors.
The special prosecutor team announced that they have been summoning and investigating former chairman Kwon since 10 a.m. on the 3rd.
The special prosecutor team believes that former chairman Kwon was involved in designing the 'Deutsche Motors stock manipulation scheme' along with Mrs. Kim. Mrs. Kim Geon-hee is suspected of playing the role of 'Jeonju (money provider)' by mobilizing stock manipulators from 2009 to 2012, using 157 accounts of 91 people, and raising the stock price. Former chairman Kwon was sentenced to three years in prison with a four-year probation in the Supreme Court last April. Mr. Son, who played the same role as Mrs. Kim, was also found guilty. In particular, Mr. Son was acquitted in the first trial but was found guilty in the second trial and confirmed by the Supreme Court.
The court stated in the judgment that three accounts of Mrs. Kim and one account of Mrs. Kim's mother, Choi Eun-soon, were used for price manipulation, but the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office decided not to indict Mrs. Kim in October last year, four years and six months after the complaint was filed, stating that she was not aware of the price manipulation crime, as she only entrusted account management to gain profit by trusting former chairman Kwon. However, after the Supreme Court confirmed the guilty verdicts of former chairman Kwon and others, the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office decided to reopen the investigation into Mrs. Kim and reportedly handed over the call records of the Mirae Asset Securities employee who managed Mrs. Kim's account to the special prosecutor team.
In the summons investigation on this day, the special prosecutor team is expected to question former chairman Kwon about △whether he designed and executed stock manipulation with Mrs. Kim △whether Mrs. Kim directly instructed operations for stock manipulation.
