[Financial News] In the 'LH Park Architecture Design Contest Embracing Culture', the entry 'MoA' by students from Hanyang University won the grand prize.
Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 1st, "We have selected a total of 13 winning entries through the contest, and these works will be reflected in the design of park architecture in 13 business districts nationwide, including the 3rd new town."
This contest was planned as part of an effort to expand existing park architecture such as management offices and public restrooms, which were focused on simple functions, into cultural spaces. It was held for 6 weeks from May 29 to July 15, with a total of 91 entries submitted.
The grand prize-winning 'MoA' was submitted by Hanyang University students Hong Seung-wan, Yoon Jong-eun, and Kwon Dae-hee, and received high marks for its colorful palette, symbolic facade composition, and three-dimensional space utilization.
The excellence awards went to △‘NET-WALK’ (National Hanbat University Park Si-hoon, Lee Je-taek) △‘HUDDLING CORE’ (Gyeongsang National University Yoon Chan-min, Choi Ji-eun, Lee Min-hee) among 2 teams. Lee Han-jun, president of LH, said, “Through this contest, we were able to discover various ideas showing the potential for expanding park architecture into cultural spaces,” and added, “We will continue to strive to create urban spaces that enhance the quality of life for the public.”
