[Financial News] The Rebellion and Foreign Affairs Special Prosecutor Team (Special Prosecutor Cho Eun-seok) has requested Speaker Woo Won-sik to appear as a reference in relation to the alleged obstruction of the National Assembly vote on the 12·3 martial law lift.
The rebellion special prosecutor team announced on the 31st through a press release that "a reference investigation request was made to Speaker Woo regarding the obstruction of the National Assembly resolution" and "the timing and method are currently under discussion."
The special prosecutor team had requested Representative Ahn Cheol-soo of the People Power Party to appear as a reference on the 29th. This is because Representative Ahn was one of the few People Power Party members who remained in the chamber during the 12·3 martial law lift vote.
However, Representative Ahn protested, calling it "opposition party oppression," and the special prosecutor team subsequently stated that there are no further plans to summon Representative Ahn.
