[Financial News] The price comparison site Danawa, operated by Connectwave, announced on the 31st that it will conduct technical sponsorships such as recruiting participants and official online promotions in line with the 'Battlegrounds 2025 Integrated Clan Championship' with a total prize of 15 million won. This sponsorship is part of the strategic business agreement signed between Connectwave and Kakao Games last February.
This tournament is an integrated clan competition covering both Kakao Battlegrounds and Steam Battlegrounds platforms. After preliminaries and finals for each platform, a total of 16 teams, 8 clans per platform, will compete in the offline finals held at 'PUBG Seongsu' Play Arena on August 23. The finals will also be broadcast live.
The matches will be held in third-person squad mode, applying official esports competition rules. The maps used will include Erangel, Rondo, Miramar, and Taego, where not only simple gun skills but also strategy and teamwork are expected to determine the outcome.
The total prize money is 15 million won, with the winning team taking 5 million won. The second place will receive 2.5 million won, the third place 1.2 million won, and there are also prizes for other rankings. An MVP special prize of 300,000 won will be awarded to the player with the most kills in the finals.
Danawa will run an online promotion until August 24 in line with the tournament period. This promotion will introduce the tournament, accept applications, and showcase products for Battlegrounds users, such as monitors, graphics cards, and gaming gear.
A Connectwave representative said, "As the competition unfolds across platforms, it will offer a unique thrill to Battlegrounds fans," adding, "Through this sponsorship and various marketing activities connecting esports and commerce, Danawa will expand communication with the gamer community."
