President Lee met with Chairman Suga of the Korea-Japan Parliamentary League at the Yongsan presidential office on this day and said, "The relationship between the Japanese people and the Korean people should improve, and the relationship between the Korean government and the Japanese government should also improve. To achieve this, it seems that expanding exchanges and cooperation among our parliamentarians will greatly help the development of Korea-Japan relations."
President Lee emphasized, "I am grateful that Prime Minister Suga has come such a long way for the development of Korea-Japan relations," and "We are honored to have our first foreign guest as Prime Minister Suga."
