[Financial News] The Small Business Market Promotion Corporation announced on the 30th that it visited the site and consultation center on the 29th to check the support status for the smooth operation of the 'Small Business Burden Reduction Credit Support Project'.
The Burden Reduction Credit Support Project is a project that provides 500,000 won that can be used to pay public utility bills such as electricity, gas, and water, as well as the four major insurance premiums: national pension, health insurance, industrial accident insurance, and employment insurance, through credit, debit, or prepaid cards. The support targets are small business owners who opened before May 1, 2025, with annual sales exceeding 0 won and up to 300 million won in 2024 or 2025. Applications have been accepted on the dedicated website since the 14th.
Park Seong-hyo, Chairman of Sojin Gong, visited a small business store near the Daejeon headquarters to listen to the application status and credit usage plans. A small business owner met on site said, "An employee visited the store directly to promote it, so I was able to apply in time," and "I plan to use it for national pension and health insurance payments."
Subsequently, Chairman Park visited the call center located in Seo-gu, Daejeon, to check the number of incoming calls, response rates, complaint types, and consultation staff operation status.
Chairman Park stated, "I will pay attention to ensuring that the support project is promoted substantially by reflecting field opinions," and "I will do my best to create a stable business environment for small businesses."
Meanwhile, as of the 29th, the number of applications for the project recorded 2.47 million, with approximately 79% of the 3.11 million eligible applicants having completed their applications. From August 1, applicants who opened in 2025 and prepaid card applicants will also be able to apply, and the number of users is expected to increase further.
