KOSPI, Foreign and Institutional Buying Power at 3260... Reaches New High Again [fn Afternoon Market]

[Financial News] The KOSPI has once again reached a new high during the day, supported by foreign and institutional buying power.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 30th, at 2 PM, the KOSPI is trading at 3264.33, up 33.76p (1.05%) from the previous day. The KOSPI rose to 3269.40 at one point in the afternoon, reaching a new high again.
In the securities market, foreigners and institutions are net buyers of 462.2 billion won and 442.1 billion won, respectively, while individuals are net sellers of 965.8 billion won.
By sector, non-metallic (3.74%), electrical/electronics (2.47%), and transportation equipment/parts (1.59%) are strong, while entertainment/culture (-1.89%), electricity/gas (-1.85%), and construction (-1.44%) are weak.
Among the top market cap stocks, Kia (5.20%), Hyundai Motor (3.67%), Hyundai Mobis (3.36%), and Samsung Electronics (3.97%) are on the rise, while Doosan Enerbility (-2.00%), POSCO Holdings (-1.26%), and Hanwha Aerospace (-1.10%) are on the decline.
KOSDAQ is trading at 806.77, up 2.32p (0.29%). Individuals and foreigners bought 30.2 billion won and 6.9 billion won, respectively, while institutions sold 6.8 billion won.
Jaewon Lee, a researcher at Shinhan Investment Corp., said, "Foreigners and institutions have been net buyers in the KOSPI for six consecutive trading days," adding that "foreign net buying of large stocks like Samsung Electronics continues, pushing the index to new highs again."
