[Financial News] Ray, focusing on dental imaging medical devices, is expected to see a significant improvement in its annual performance this year. It is analyzed that the volume of dental X-ray (CT) exports to emerging countries such as Southeast Asia and Latin America will increase, following the main markets of China and the United States.
According to related industries on the 30th, Eugene Investment & Securities predicted that Ray will turn a profit this year with a revenue of 124.8 billion won and an operating profit of 8.3 billion won.
Eugene Investment & Securities expects Ray's performance next year to be even more positive than this year. Eugene Investment & Securities predicted that Ray will achieve a revenue of 146.8 billion won and an operating profit of 12.6 billion won next year.
Park Jong-sun, a research committee member at Eugene Investment & Securities, said, "Ray's performance is growing significantly this year due to the demand for X-ray replacements centered on the US and China," adding, "The export volume will continue to increase every quarter as it expands to Southeast Asia following the US and China."
Ray is a specialized company in imaging medical devices founded by CEO Lee Sang-cheol in 2004. The dental X-ray 'RayScan Alpha', launched in 2012, has been actively exported to the US, China, and Europe, continuing the growth trend in performance.
Ray currently operates a total of 14 bases worldwide, including in the US, China, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Australia, India, Vietnam, Taiwan, France, Germany, and Hong Kong. In Taiwan, they operate a research lab along with a corporation. Over 90% of Ray's total performance is generated from overseas markets.
Ray's performance has been rapidly increasing in the US and Southeast Asia, following its main market in China, since the beginning of this year. In fact, the revenue from the US market in the first half of this year more than doubled, and Southeast Asia also saw a performance growth of about twice.
A Ray representative said, "Typically, annual performance shows a 'low in the first half, high in the second half' tendency," adding, "However, this year, for the first time since its founding, the first quarter achieved a profit, and the performance growth trend is expected to continue every quarter."
