Actor Park Bo-gum Appointed as Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism 2025

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 29th that they held a 'Korean Tourism Honorary Ambassador Appointment Ceremony' and appointed actor Park Bo-gum, famous for the Netflix drama 'Poksak Sokassuda', as the honorary ambassador for Korean tourism.

At the appointment ceremony held at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on this day, two overseas promotional videos for Korean tourism featuring Park Bo-gum were unveiled for the first time. First, the theme song of the music video, 'On My Way', was produced for this year's global campaign for Korean tourism, and Park Bo-gum sang it himself, adding to the immersion. 

Simultaneously with the release of the Korean tourism overseas promotional video, a global participatory event was held on the Korea Tourism Organization's YouTube channel 'Imagine Your Korea'. If you answer the question "What song would be good to listen to when traveling in Korea?" posed by Park Bo-gum in the cookie video with a comment, various prizes including round-trip tickets to Korea will be awarded.

Amidst the participation of about 160 fans, including winners of the Korean Tourism Honorary Ambassador guessing event, a theme advertisement in collaboration with Netflix was also presented at the appointment ceremony. The 'Squid Game Edition' reinterpreted the globally loved series as tourism content, naturally incorporating Korea's diverse charms, and also introduced the 'Gyeongsang Edition' capturing the vibrant energy of Gyeongsang Province and the 'Jeolla Edition' capturing the lyrical beauty of Jeolla Province.
