Awarded 'Carbon Management Sector Honors' for Two Consecutive Years
Hanwha announced on the 29th that it received a 'Leadership A' rating in CDP's 2024 climate change response evaluation. This is one step higher than the 'Leadership A-' obtained last year, corresponding to the highest CDP evaluation rating.
The CDP evaluation is recognized as the most credible sustainability indicator along with the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Companies that receive excellent evaluations overall in climate change response strategies, goals, and execution are awarded a total of 8 grades: Leadership A, Leadership A-, Management B, Management B-, etc.
On April 30th, Hanwha was also selected for the 'Carbon Management Sector Honors' in the industrial materials sector at the '2024 CDP Korea Awards' hosted by the CDP Korea Committee, achieving the honor of winning for two consecutive years. This award is given to companies that achieve excellent performance in each industrial sector in the 2024 climate change response evaluation conducted by the CDP Korea Committee.
A Hanwha representative said, "Achieving the highest CDP evaluation rating is an indicator showing Hanwha's active carbon neutrality practices and sustainability management performance," adding, "We will continue to achieve ESG management while participating in global climate change response efforts."
