Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, Re-certified as a 'Continuing Education Provider' by US ACCME
[Financial News] Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine announced on the 28th that it has been re-certified as a 'continuing education provider' necessary for doctors in over 30 countries, including the United States, to maintain their licenses.This is the only case among East Asian medical institutions, and it is evaluated as a result that proves Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine's integrative medicine education and system meet global standards.
Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine has obtained re-certification to continue its status as a continuing education provider from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in the United States until 2029.
ACCME is an institution jointly established by seven medical organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Hospital Association (AHA), and is responsible for certifying essential education providers for license renewal for doctors in 31 countries worldwide.
Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine started with provisional certification in 2019, received official certification in 2021, and through this re-certification, will maintain its status as an education provider for a total of 10 years. Currently, about 1,900 medical staff are receiving continuing education at Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine, and the education is based on evidence-based clinical data.
According to the medical community, institutions certified by ACCME are limited to a few countries outside the United States, including Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, and Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine is the only one in Asia.
Director Jin-ho Lee stated, "We have been conducting education based on Jaseng's unique treatment techniques such as Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment (MSAT), Chuna therapy, and ultrasound-guided acupuncture for global medical professionals," and added, "We will continue to expand education on the latest treatment technologies and international cooperation for the globalization of Korean medicine."
Last year, Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine was selected as an agency for a national project by the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine Promotion and provided training programs to 98 overseas medical professionals from 28 countries, and next year, it plans to co-host an international academic conference (AJA) with Indiana University School of Medicine in the United States.
