Moon Ho-sang Appointed as New CEO of Woongjin Freedlife

[Financial News] Woongjin Group announced on the 28th that Moon Ho-sang, Executive Director, has been appointed as the new CEO of its funeral service affiliate, Woongjin Freedlife.
After graduating from the Department of French Language and Literature at Seoul National University, the appointee Moon began his career in the overseas marketing division at Samsung Electronics. He then served as Creative Director at Geumgang Planning and CEO of Best Communications before joining Woongjin Freedlife in 2015. Since then, he has held key positions such as Sales Director and Head of the Funeral Business Division.
Well-versed in public relations and marketing theory, he has excelled in overall funeral service business, including branding strategies, funeral hall development, and protocol operations. He is especially recognized for playing a pivotal role in maintaining Woongjin Freedlife's top position in the industry.
This appointment is an internal promotion rather than an external recruitment, reflecting high regard for his understanding of the organization and stable leadership. Moon is expected to officially assume the position of CEO after final approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 12th of next month.
