[Financial News] The Korea Pharmaceutical Bio Association announced on the 28th that it successfully held the 'Pharmaceutical Bio Open House' event with Chong Kun Dang at the Chong Kun Dang Cheonan Plant.
This event was the final part of the open house program prepared for the association's 80th anniversary, concluding a total of 8 sessions that began in April.
The event was held on July 17th and 25th at the Chong Kun Dang Smart Factory located in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, with about 80 participants, including government and related agency officials, association staff, from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
Participants toured Chong Kun Dang's smart factory, which applies cutting-edge digital technology, and directly confirmed examples of innovation in the manufacturing process.
The Chong Kun Dang Smart Factory is designed with three pillars: △Predictive-based process and quality management △AI-based quality management △AI-based facility operation. Through this, advanced functions such as real-time optimization of manufacturing processes, predictive maintenance of facilities, automated quality evaluation (APQR), and intelligent CCTV systems are in operation.
One participant said, “It was a meaningful time as I was able to see what innovations are being made in the actual pharmaceutical field through smart factory technology.”
Meanwhile, the 'Pharmaceutical Bio Open House' program, organized by the association, was planned to introduce and help understand the pharmaceutical industry site to policy authorities and the public. A total of 6 companies participated, starting with Handok, followed by Inist ST, Daewon Pharmaceutical, HK inno.N, GC Green Cross, and Chong Kun Dang.
Also, about 230 people from 8 institutions, including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the National Health Insurance Corporation, and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, participated.
Noh Yeon-hong, the president, said, “A meaningful venue was prepared to share the technology and strategy of the industrial site with policy makers through the open house,” adding, “We will continue to expand practical exchange opportunities to enhance mutual understanding between the industry and policy authorities.”
