Enhancing Diagnostic Accuracy with Thinner Slices and High-Resolution Imaging
Increasing Examination Efficiency with Motion Correction Device and Biometric Sensors
[Financial News] Ewha Mokdong Hospital announced on the 28th that it will be the first medical institution in Korea to introduce the state-of-the-art MRI equipment 'MAGNETOM Cima.X' and will start operating it from August 11.Increasing Examination Efficiency with Motion Correction Device and Biometric Sensors
Siemens Healthineers' MAGNETOM Cima.X is the latest MRI equipment capable of high-resolution imaging, allowing for the examination of microvascular conditions.
Compared to the previous model 'MAGNETOM Vida', the MAGNETOM Cima.X, equipped with a powerful gradient system with an amplitude of 200 mT/m and a slew rate of 200 T/m/s, has a gradient system that allows for faster and more accurate diagnosis in areas such as the brain and blood vessels, spine, musculoskeletal system, abdomen, and urinary system.
In particular, it is now possible to obtain clear image quality by capturing images in thin slices in complex clinical areas such as the head, cervical spine, lumbar spine, pelvis, and abdominal diseases.
Through the biometric sensor, it is possible to immediately detect the patient's respiratory pattern, a vital sign, as soon as they lie on the table, increasing the efficiency of the examination. The motion correction function allows for effective correction of movements that occur after the examination, even for critically ill patients or newborns for whom sedatives are difficult to administer.
Ewha Mokdong Hospital plans to maximize examination accuracy and patient convenience through the introduction of MAGNETOM Cima.X.
Professor Kim Eun-hee of the Department of Radiology at Ewha Mokdong Hospital said, "The introduction of the MAGNETOM Cima.X MRI system has made it possible to clearly identify even fine structures such as brain nerves that were difficult to visualize, thereby increasing diagnostic accuracy."
Director Kim Han-soo of Ewha Mokdong Hospital emphasized, "Ewha Mokdong Hospital will continue to introduce state-of-the-art, latest medical equipment to provide customized medical services for patients," adding, "The introduction of the latest medical equipment will ultimately greatly help Ewha Mokdong Hospital set a new standard for patient-centered care."
