[Financial News] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs raised the special travel advisory for three border areas between Thailand and Cambodia on the 27th due to the conflict between the two countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the travel advisory for three areas at the Thailand-Cambodia border, including Sa Kaeo Province, Chanthaburi Province, and Trat Province, which was raised to Level 2 (Travel Caution) on the 25th, has been further raised to a special travel advisory.
The areas under the special travel advisory have expanded to include Surin Province, Buriram Province, Sisaket Province, Ubon Ratchathani Province, Sa Kaeo Province, Chanthaburi Province, Trat Province, Chiang Saen border checkpoint, and Mae Sai border checkpoint. The areas under the Level 3 travel advisory, recommending departure, include the southern part of Songkhla Province near the Malaysian border, Pattani Province, Narathiwat Province, and Yala Province.
A Ministry of Foreign Affairs official requested, "We ask our citizens planning to visit the areas under the special travel advisory to cancel or postpone their trips, and those currently residing in the area to move to a safe location."
