[Financial News] The heat is expected to continue on the last Saturday of July.
As of 10 a.m. that day, the temperatures in major areas are Seoul 32.7°C, Incheon 31.5°C, Suwon 32.1°C, Chuncheon 30.5°C, Gangneung 31.1°C, Cheongju 31.6°C, Daejeon 31.7°C, Jeonju 32°C, Gwangju 31.2°C, Jeju 29.4°C, Daegu 30.4°C, Busan 31.5°C, and Ulsan 31.2°C.
The highest daytime temperature is forecasted to be 32∼38°C. A heat wave advisory has been issued nationwide, with the highest perceived temperature expected to rise to around 35°C, making it very hot. Tropical nights are also expected in many places.
Infants, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses are susceptible to heat-related illnesses and should take care of their health. The weather will be mostly clear nationwide, but Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy with rain starting in the afternoon.
The expected rainfall is 20∼60mm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and 5∼20mm elsewhere on the island. High waves are expected to be driven by swells along the coasts of Jeju Island, Jeollanam-do, and Gyeongsangnam-do. A storm surge advisory has been issued for the central west coast of Jeollanam-do. The sea waves are expected to be 0.5∼1.5m in the East Sea, and 0.5∼2.0m in the West and South Seas. The waves in the open sea (about 200km from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5∼1.5m in the East Sea, 0.5∼3.5m in the West Sea, and 1.0∼3.0m in the South Sea.
