[Financial News] The Presidential Office stated on the 25th regarding the Korea-US tariff negotiations, "We are negotiating with the premise of the August 1 deadline."
Kim Yongbeom, Policy Director of the Presidential Office, held a briefing at the Yongsan Presidential Office on this day and said, "There is no information that the deadline can be extended beyond August 1," thus stating.
The negotiation plan is understood to include agricultural products. Director Kim stated, "Agricultural products are included under the negotiation items," and explained, "Negotiations between Jamie Son Greer, the USTR representative, and Yeo Hankoo, the Trade Negotiation Headquarters Director, are ongoing in the agricultural and digital sectors."
The Korea-US tariff negotiations are proceeding without issues. Wi Seongrak, National Security Director, emphasized, "There are words that there might be an unusual current in the Korea-US negotiation front, but the negotiations are ongoing."
