[Financial News] Hanjin announced on the 25th that it has published the '2025 Hanjin Sustainability Management Report' containing core values, activities, and achievements related to environment, society, and governance.
This report, which marks the fourth edition since its first publication in 2022, is centered on eco-friendly logistics practices, the establishment of workplace safety management systems, and the creation of shared values for coexistence with society.
The report is structured as follows: △'Company Introduction' introducing Hanjin's major achievements and global logistics network △'ESG Fundamentals' containing core ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) values, major activities, and key issues by stakeholder △'ESG Performance' summarizing major initiatives and safety and organizational culture-related content.
Hanjin is actively pursuing eco-friendly logistics practices with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. To this end, it has established an environmental management system based on the ISO 14001 international standard and is implementing a mid- to long-term roadmap to transition 100% of its vehicles to eco-friendly vehicles by 2050.
In addition, it is creating a work environment where employees can work safely by strengthening safety and health management at all business sites. Regular risk assessments are conducted twice a year for all business sites to identify and eliminate risk factors, and active investments are being made to establish and manage a safety and health system that meets the level of the ISO 45001 international standard.
Hanjin is also developing various platform-based activities for coexistence with society and customers based on its logistics expertise. Notably, △'Hanjin One Click Service' supporting the growth and overseas expansion of small e-commerce sellers △'SWOOP' providing integrated solutions necessary for the overseas expansion of K-fashion brands △'Hanjin Digital Easy Order', a one-stop order management platform for expanding digital sales channels for traditional markets and small businesses △'Slow recipe', an eco-friendly lifestyle reverse shopping overseas platform.
Additionally, various activities are being conducted, such as expanding the use of renewable energy through the establishment of solar power facilities at logistics centers in six cities including Busan, Incheon, and Daejeon, strengthening safety awareness through the 'Hanjin Safety Portal System' and safety education and campaigns for employees, and maintaining the ISO 37301 compliance management system international standard certification based on the operation of a fair trade compliance program.
A Hanjin representative said, "The ESG report published for the fourth time this year transparently contains Hanjin's sustainable management activities and achievements," and added, "We will continue to seek ways to grow and coexist with stakeholders, customers, and society."
