Supply of bottled water to Ulsan affected by water outage
Continuing quiet donation efforts in every disaster
[Financial News] Korea Zinc announced on the 24th that it has donated a total of 5 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea and the National Disaster Relief Association.
The donation will be used for recovery activities and support for disaster victims, as well as emergency livelihood stabilization projects such as essential goods and housing support in major affected areas including △Gyeonggi Gapyeong △Chungnam Seosan and Yesan △Jeonnam Damyang △Gyeongnam Sancheong and Hapcheon △Ulsan Ulju-gun.
Separately, Korea Zinc provided emergency support of 40,000 bottles of water to residents affected by the water outage in Ulsan Ulju-gun. Ulju-gun Office, where the Onsan Smelter is located, held a ceremony on the 23rd to deliver donated goods in response to the water outage and encouraged participation from local companies.
A representative from Korea Zinc said, "We extend our deepest condolences to all the disaster victims who have lost their homes due to the sudden heavy rain," and added, "We hope this helps everyone not to lose hope and quickly return to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Korea Zinc also donated 5 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea during the wildfire disaster last March. The company plans to continue supporting disaster relief and recovery efforts in national disaster situations.
