[Financial News] The Venture Business Association expressed its welcome to Hansung-sook, who was inaugurated as the Minister of SMEs and Startups on the 24th, calling her "the right person for innovation to lead the AI era."
The Venture Business Association said in a statement on the day, "Minister Han, an IT expert from the business world, is expected to enhance the competitiveness of the venture ecosystem in Korea during the rapidly changing AI era."
In particular, the association expressed strong agreement with Minister Han's inaugural address, stating that "entrepreneurship is not an individual challenge but the core of the national growth strategy," which they see as "a conviction that presents the right direction for Korea."
The Venture Business Association requested the government to actively support policies and create an innovative environment corresponding to the "real growth" pursued by the government, such as an AI powerhouse and technology-driven growth, stating that "the core for this is venture businesses."
As current issues in the venture industry, they pointed out △expansion of the venture financial market △regulatory innovation △flexibility in the working hours system, and expressed expectations for "continuous interest and practical measures to strengthen the innovative venture ecosystem."
They also emphasized, "Please speedily promote the comprehensive measures for the leap to the four major venture powers so that Korean ventures can lead the world, creating an ecosystem for this."
Finally, the Venture Business Association added, "The venture industry will also actively cooperate with Minister Han to play a key role in ensuring that Korean ventures become the main players of 'real growth.'"
