[Financial News] The Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises officially welcomed Minister Han Seong-suk, who was inaugurated as the first Minister of SMEs and Startups in the Lee Jae-myung government, stating that she will "open a path for small business owners and provide a new platform for growth."
Sogongyeon stated in a commentary on the 24th, "The point that Minister Han prioritized the establishment of a social and disaster safety net for small business owners in her inaugural address is a timely policy," adding that it "will be a new breakthrough for small business owners who have become victims of the era of 1 million closures."
Sogongyeon particularly mentioned Minister Han's track record of making Naver the 'First Exemplary Company' through a voluntary win-win agreement during her tenure as CEO of Naver in 2019, expressing hope that "her experience in coexistence with small business owners and her IT expertise will be reflected in the policy."
The emphasis on field communication was also positively evaluated. Sogongyeon emphasized, "Minister Han's remark to communicate as a 'partner' rather than a 'policy target' is a powerful message," and "we see it as an expression of her determination to overcome the unprecedented crisis through public-private cooperation with proactive field communication."
Additionally, noting Minister Han's mention of the 'policy delivery system,' Sogongyeon stated, "We see it as her determination to ensure that small and aging small business owners are not marginalized," adding, "Sogongyeon will also actively support the organization and digital transformation of small business owners."
Finally, Sogongyeon expressed, "We hope that under Minister Han's leadership, the establishment of a dedicated second vice minister for small businesses and budget expansion will be pursued," adding, "We expect 'real growth' beyond 'recovery and growth' to be realized."
