'No future for the party with repeated vested interest struggles'

[Financial News] As the People Power Party is about to hold a convention to elect the next party leader, Oh Se-hoon, the Mayor of Seoul, stated, "It is time for those responsible for the regime's failure and the presidential election defeat to step down," and expressed his stance that "those who must take responsibility should do so and move towards the future as a matter of course."
Mayor Oh posted an article titled 'Being reborn is the people's command' on Facebook on the 24th, saying, "The people's command is 'People Power Party, be reborn.'"
He particularly emphasized, "This convention will be a critical turning point for the party's revival," and "it should be the starting line to break from the past and move towards the future." Regarding the situation within the party after the presidential election defeat, he said, "Currently, the People Power Party is in a state of 'balance collapse' biased towards specific voices," and "to overcome this situation, the existing conservative framework should be respected, but bold 'destruction' is necessary."
Mayor Oh stated, "Innovation requires the determination of 'Pabuchimju' (breaking the cauldrons and sinking the boats). We must create a playground for future generations and provide them with a ladder for growth," and "if we repeat the past buried in intra-party vested interest struggles, there is no future for the People Power Party."
Pabuchimju means 'breaking the cauldrons and sinking the boats,' a metaphorical expression of the determination to fight with a do-or-die spirit.
Meanwhile, Mayor Oh will have a luncheon meeting with Ahn Cheol-soo, a candidate for the People Power Party leader, who declared his candidacy at Seoul City Hall today.
