[Financial News] The Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Corporation is launching specialized training to enhance the response capability to the European Union (EU) Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
On the 24th, Jung Jin Gong announced that it will conduct the 'SME CBAM Academy' from August to enhance the carbon data management capabilities of exporting companies.
CBAM is a carbon regulation that the EU will implement from 2026. It is a system that mandates the purchase of 'CBAM certificates' based on the carbon emissions generated during the manufacturing process of imported goods such as steel and aluminum. Exporting SMEs must establish accurate emission calculations and reporting systems.
Jung Jin Gong has structured this training with a step-by-step curriculum from basic to advanced, divided into theory and practice. It will be conducted both online and offline until December.
The online course covers △methods for calculating carbon emissions △CBAM template writing methods △analysis of supply chain evaluation indicators, focusing on practical concepts and theories. The offline course consists of △carbon emission calculation practice △CBAM report writing practice, where participating companies compare and analyze their templates with verified examples to enhance practical application skills.
The training can be applied for on MoaForm, and any SME employee can participate. Detailed schedules and content can be found on the Jung Jin Gong ESG Integrated Platform.
Sukjin Kang, Chairman of Jung Jin Gong, said, "I hope this training will be a practical opportunity to enhance SMEs' capabilities in collecting and managing carbon data," and "We will actively support SMEs to secure competitiveness even in the global carbon regulation environment."
