[Financial News] For the first time since the new government took office, the main subscription for the 3rd new town has begun. The government plans to sequentially supply 12,000 public housing units in public lands in the metropolitan area in the second half of the year.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) will start the main subscription in the Namyangju Wangsuk district of the 3rd new town on the 24th (A-1·A-2 Block).
The supply volume for Namyangju Wangsuk A-1·A-2 Block is a total of 1,030 units. It is mainly composed of small-sized units with high demand for exclusive areas of 46㎡, 55㎡, and 59㎡.
The block is adjacent to Wangsukcheon Riverside Park and Linear Park, providing a pleasant environment, and various childcare facilities such as a community care center are arranged, making it noted as a 'child-friendly complex'. Nearby, the Pungyang Station (within Jinjeop 2 district) extension of Line 4 and Line 9 is expected to open.
The Namyangju Wangsuk district has excellent transportation conditions. △GTX-B Line △Gangdong-Hanam-Namyangju Line (extension of Subway Line 9) △Three railway lines of the Gyeongchun Line are expected to form a 'triple station area (tentatively named Wangsuk Station)'. It is also easily accessible to the entrance ramps of the Metropolitan Area 1st Ring Expressway and Sejong-Pocheon Expressway, allowing quick access to major areas in Seoul and the metropolitan area.
A 1.2 million square meter Wangsuk Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex is also being promoted within the district. For this, major leading companies such as Kakao Data Center and Woori Financial Research and Development Center have signed investment agreements.
The selling price of the block is supplied at a reasonable level compared to nearby Namyangju Byeollae and Dasan, and the price cap system is applied, so there is a restriction on resale but no obligation for actual residence.
The unit layout reflects recent trends, with enlarged living rooms and kitchens, various options provided, and enhanced storage space design such as entrance storage and dressing rooms.
The tenant recruitment announcement is today, and subscription applications start on August 4. The announcement of winners and contract signing will proceed sequentially. Move-in is scheduled for August 2028.
LH will open a newly built exclusive housing exhibition hall in Namyangju Byeollae-dong (816-1) on the 25th. It is built as the largest scale among the 3rd new towns. During idle periods, it will be used as a complex cultural space for local residents to experience upcycle culture, hold small lectures, concerts, and other cultural and art programs.
The housing exhibition hall will be open to the public from the 26th, the day after the opening. Sample houses can also be checked through the online cyber model house.
Kim Baeseong, Director of the Public Housing Promotion Division of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "This supply is an important first step in contributing to the stabilization of the housing market in the metropolitan area in line with the new government's supply expansion policy," and "We will accelerate the supply of housing in the metropolitan area starting with the Wangsuk district."
Kim Seongyeon, Head of the Northern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of LH, also said, "Thanks to the efforts of field staff, such as early completion of compensation and simultaneous construction start, we were able to start the first main subscription," and "We will do our best to establish the Wangsuk district as a representative self-sufficient new town in the metropolitan area."
