[Financial News] On the occasion of President Lee's 50th day in office, the Presidential Office announced on the 23rd that it will officially release and distribute a total of 14 types of digital goods for smartphones and smartwatches to the public.
These digital goods were produced in response to numerous requests received last month on the President's social networking service (SNS) channel, expressing a desire for the public to also use the 'President's Watch'. It was planned as a new communication method that goes beyond simple souvenirs, allowing the public to directly participate in and connect with state affairs.
The goods are divided into those for smartwatches and smartphones, with 6 types of watch faces for Android smartwatches, including △3 types of Presidential Emblems △1 type of Presidential Office Emblem △2 types of Presidential Photos, along with variant designs. For Apple Watch, 5 types of wallpapers based on Presidential Photos are provided, and 3 types of common smartphone wallpapers are also distributed, making a total of 14 types.
The designs visually incorporate the symbolism and messages of President Lee, including the Presidential Emblem, signature, and handwritten phrases, allowing anyone to download and freely use them on their smart devices in daily life.
The goods can be downloaded from the President's official blog and the Presidential Office website, and Android users can also install them via the Google Play Store.
The Presidential Office plans to sequentially plan and distribute digital goods on various themes in line with major state affairs occasions in the future, strengthening digital-based communication with the public.
Presidential Office Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung stated, "In an era where national sovereignty is realized in the palm of your hand through digital technology, we aimed to embed that symbol in the daily lives of the public," adding, "This digital goods commemorate President Lee's 50th day in office, and we will continue to expand the areas of public participation to realize state affairs in the palm of your hand."
President Lee also explained on SNS, "Since this is the first digital goods produced by reflecting the valuable opinions of the public, 'whether more people can use it more conveniently' was the most important criterion," adding, "Therefore, we have prepared it widely so that it can be used not only on smartwatches but also on smartphones."
Additionally, President Lee added, "In line with the name of the People's Sovereignty Government, each digital goods is more than just a simple souvenir; it can become a record created with the public, and we will strive to make it a precious gift shared together," and "Please use them a lot and leave valuable feedback. Good ideas are always welcome."
