Krafton Opens 'PNC 2025', PUBG Esports Nations Cup

[Financial News] Krafton is hosting the PUBG: Battlegrounds esports nations cup 'PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2025' starting from the 23rd.
PNC 2025 is held on the largest scale ever. The tournament period has been extended from the original 3 days to 5 days, and the number of participating teams has been expanded from 16 to 24. Eight teams, including South Korea, will go directly to the final stage starting on the 25th based on last year's tournament results, while the remaining 16 teams will begin their journey from the survival stage held on the 23rd and 24th.
The head coach of the South Korean team, which won consecutive championships in the 2023 and 2024 tournaments, is 'Flique' Kim Seong-min, and the representative players selected are 'Salute' Woo Je-hyun, 'Seoul' Jo Ki-yeol, 'Gyumin' Shim Gyu-min, and 'Raining' Kim Jong-myung.
PNC 2025 will feature a total of 30 matches, with 6 matches held each day, and the rankings will be determined by combining kill points and ranking points obtained in all matches. The total prize money is a basic 500,000 USD (approximately 690 million KRW), and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of PNC 2025 winner prediction event items will be added and distributed to the participating teams according to the final ranking.
To commemorate the hosting of PNC 2025, a 'PUBG Nations Lounge' will be set up in the outdoor space of the venue from the 25th to the 27th, displaying the trophy to be awarded to the winning team of this tournament, uniforms of the 24 participating teams, and bulletproof helmets decorated in the colors representing each team. Additionally, a fan signing event with some of the players participating in this tournament will also be held on-site.
During the final stage period, special performances will also take place. On the first day of the final stage, the 25th, the beatbox group 'Beatfella House' will perform, and on the last day, the 27th, the global artist 'aespa' will present the stage of the song 'Dark Arts' collaborated with Battlegrounds.
Watching the PNC 2025 matches through the official Battlegrounds channels, Chijijik and SOOP (Forest), will also provide various items such as the PNC 2025 commemorative skin through an online event. Especially during the 3 days of the final stage, the 'aespa Emote' item can also be obtained in limited quantities through this event.
All matches of PNC 2025 start at 6 PM and are broadcasted through the official Battlegrounds esports YouTube, Chijijik, SOOP, Naver TV, etc.
