Xgate announced on the 23rd that it is taking measures to protect corporate information assets by preemptively blocking threats from attackers through advanced quantum cryptography security and SSL VPN solutions.
Xgate completed the trademark registration of its independent brand 'AX-Quantum' with the Patent Office in the first half of the year and is continuing to invest in building a quantum cryptography platform. It plans to respond to rapidly changing cyber threats with its unique 'hybrid' quantum security solution that combines QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator) and PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) technologies.
The hardware-based QRNG technology uses a self-developed cryptographic module and is a verified solution that has completed KCMVP certification. It is embedded in VPNs to generate unpredictable strong encryption keys, enabling the construction of networks that cannot be decrypted even in quantum computing environments with excellent computational capabilities.
It also features a diverse product lineup, including ultra-small modules, PCI cards, and onboard forms. It can be applied to various industries, including defense fields such as radios and small drones, as well as portable communication devices, wearable systems, and home networks. The defense sector has already secured orders for large-scale projects and has begun continuous delivery.
It also supports software-based PQC with post-quantum cryptography algorithms. The Xgate OS can use the PQC algorithm (CRYSTALS-KYBER) selected by the U.S. NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standard, and the development of four types of K-PQC technology is expected to be completed within the year. The standardization of domestic PQC algorithms is currently under review, and when the standard is finalized, security technology centered on Xgate KCMVP (Verified Cryptographic Module) is expected to be reviewed.
An Xgate representative said, "Recently, the concept of 'Harvest Now, Decrypt Later' is emerging, where important data is collected in advance and then decrypted and attacked when quantum computers become commercialized in the future," adding, "The core of current and future cybersecurity is preparation for 'uncertainty,' and a new security paradigm of 'AX-Quantum' is needed to protect safe information assets."
Xgate SSL VPN supports corporate information asset protection through △strong security △excellent scalability and flexibility △intuitive user interface. In addition to supporting various terminal systems, including PC/mobile, it provides a security environment tailored to the customer's work environment with superior functionality expansion compared to competitors, such as cloud authentication system integration, VPN as a service, and quantum security application.
An Xgate representative added, "We have already proven security and scalability by participating in large-scale projects such as △KERIS E-VPN △Ministry of the Interior and Safety 'Onbook' △Road Traffic Authority's traffic signal controller △Bus Information System (BIS) △National Defense Counter-Terrorism Project," and "we will continue to respond proactively to the changing IT environment through ongoing research and development and technology analysis to provide the best security value to our customers."
