[Financial News]   The 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit Preparatory Committee has appointed G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong), a representative artist of the Republic of Korea, as the ambassador for the 2025 APEC Summit.
On the 23rd, the Preparatory Committee stated, "G-Dragon is an icon of creativity and innovation, and is the ideal person to powerfully convey the values of connection and sustainability that APEC aims for, both domestically and internationally," and "By appointing G-Dragon, who has global influence, as an ambassador, we can further increase international interest in the APEC Summit."
As an ambassador, G-Dragon is expected to participate in activities to promote the core messages of the 2025 APEC Summit worldwide, including appearing in promotional videos.
Additionally, Shin Woo-seok, the director of the promotional video, known for his creative content that breaks conventional molds and his sensuous direction, has established a unique position by showcasing original work in various fields such as advertising, music videos, and branded content.
Director Shin has gained popularity to the extent of forming a fandom with his "ads you seek out on purpose" through various advertising projects, and has been recognized for creating his own unique genre in the advertising industry, winning awards at domestic and international advertising festivals such as Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, and One Show.
A representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs evaluated, "The collaboration between G-Dragon and Director Shin Woo-seok is a symbolic example of 'K-APEC' created by cultural icons and creative groups representing the Republic of Korea."
 Furthermore, "The theme of this summit, 'A Sustainable Tomorrow We Create,' will be broadcast worldwide across generations and borders, strongly imprinting the creativity and distinctiveness of the 2025 APEC Summit hosted by the Republic of Korea," they predicted.
