[Financial News] Woongjin Thinkbig is set to fully introduce four AI-based educational solutions in the second half of the year. The strategy is to simultaneously enhance learning effectiveness in domestic educational settings and teacher work efficiency, while also strengthening its approach to the overseas edtech market.
Woongjin Thinkbig announced on the 23rd that it plans to sequentially introduce four solutions—△AI Descriptive Evaluation △AI Reading Wizard △AI Automatic Question Generation △AI Counseling Teacher—through its educational platform 'Woongjin Smart All'.
The AI Descriptive Evaluation automatically corrects descriptive questions in four elementary subjects—Korean, math, social studies, and science—providing feedback. It offers real-time grading and customized hints to enhance learning persistence. It was developed with the advice of Professor Kim Han-Saem from Yonsei University.
The AI Reading Wizard is an experiential solution that helps with writing book reports using AI. It focuses on improving writing skills and critical thinking. Parents and teachers can check reading comprehension through the results of emotional writing.
Teacher functions have also been enhanced. The AI Automatic Question Generation analyzes student levels using generative AI to automatically create customized questions. Its reliability was increased through joint research with Professor Park Hee-Sun from Sungkyunkwan University.
The AI Counseling Teacher reduces repetitive administrative tasks and enhances counseling quality by summarizing counseling content, analyzing achievements, and suggesting coaching points.
In addition to AI solutions, Woongjin Thinkbig is also expanding its exports, focusing on 'CES Innovation Award' winners. The augmented reality (AR) reading platform 'ARpedia' is currently available in 24 countries, and new distribution contracts have been signed with three countries in the Middle East. The metaverse English platform 'Lingocity' is set to launch in Japan and Vietnam. Furthermore, the AI reading solution 'Bookstory' is scheduled for release in the second half.
With the growth of the education market slowing due to the decline in the school-age population in Korea, Woongjin Thinkbig is enhancing its product lineup with AI-based curriculum evaluations, reading activities, and teacher support solutions, and is diversifying its revenue structure through exports.
Lim Han-Woo, Head of IT Innovation at Woongjin Thinkbig, said, "AI-based solutions are receiving positive responses in actual educational settings," and "We will continue technological innovation to achieve tangible results in domestic and international markets."
