[Financial News] Home appliance companies have launched free emergency support services for those affected by heavy rain.
According to the industry on the 23rd, Coway has decided to conduct free post-management for rental appliances that have suffered flood damage due to the recent heavy rain. If the product is completely submerged or damaged and cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with a new product for free. The rental fee will also be reduced for the period the product could not be used due to damage.
Additionally, Coway will set up a service base for flood-affected areas at Dangjin Fish Market in Eumnae-dong, Dangjin, Chungnam, from the 24th for two days, where service managers will visit affected households to support product inspection and recovery. Damage reports can be made through the Coway Customer Center. After reporting, a service manager will visit to provide emergency support services.
A Coway representative said, "We will do our best to alleviate the inconvenience of customers suffering from rain damage by continuously monitoring the on-site situation and supporting flood recovery with service teams in each region."
Kiturami has decided to support 'Emergency Recovery Service for Flooded Areas' for flood victims in the Yesan area of Chungnam. Kiturami formed an emergency recovery team at its headquarters and regional CS centers and deployed them to the flood site in Yesan. The 'Kiturami Boiler Emergency Service Camp for Flooded Areas' set up at the Hapori Village Hall will provide free boiler inspection and repair services for households affected by flood damage.
The Kiturami emergency recovery team will remain on-site at the Yesan flood site until the 25th to continue service work such as drying and replacing parts and repairs. Emergency recovery services will also be supported in other areas affected by floods, such as Sancheong, Gyeongnam.
A Kiturami representative said, "We hope that the local residents suffering from sudden floods will quickly overcome the damage and return to their daily lives," adding, "We will continue to provide rapid and systematic service support in each region to prevent inconvenience from heavy rain and other natural disasters."
