[Financial News] Sampyo Group announced on the 23rd that it has launched a goods donation campaign involving employees from all affiliates to promote a culture of sharing in daily life and practice environmental protection through resource recycling.
The goods donation campaign was conducted simultaneously from the 2nd to the 11th at business sites nationwide, including the headquarters in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, Samcheok, and Pohang. Employees donated various items such as unused clothing, household goods, and small appliances from their daily lives.
In addition, Sampyo Group is also conducting a campaign to upcycle discarded work uniforms donated by employees into pouches, ahead of 'Resource Recycling Day' on September 6th, to further expand the scope of resource recycling practices.
The 500 or so items donated through the campaign were delivered to the Beautiful Store Foundation. The items will be sold at Beautiful Store branches, and the proceeds will be used for various sharing projects to support vulnerable groups domestically and internationally.
Yo Yongjae, Executive Director of Sampyo Group's Social Contribution Team, said, "This campaign, conducted with the voluntary participation of employees, is meaningful as it positively impacted both the local community and the environment," adding, "We will continue sustainable social contribution activities that realize the value of sharing."
